2/1001 Bradburian Nights

Short Story: The Lake by Ray Bradbury (read here, listen here)

Essay:  That men by various ways arrive at the same end - from "Essays of Michel De Montaigne" here

Takeaway quote: "Man (in good earnest) is a marvellous vain, fickle, and unstable subject, and on whom it is very hard to form any certain and uniform judgment."

Poem: Dead Language Lesson by A.E. Stallings

We ran errands today. My brain was refreshed by the bright yarn at the craft store, and amused by this strange little owl teapot.

We are entering our last week of winter break from co-op. This is the prep week/rest week/sort of no-man's-land week. Christmas is still up, but starting to feel stale. Some of us feel aimless, restless.
