47/1001 - Lewis, Paulson, and Frost

Essay: The forward to Father Water, Mother Woods: Essays on Fishing and Hunting in the North Woods by Gary Paulson (of Hatchet fame). This was an essay in itself, and if the rest of the Essays are in this same tone, I will enjoy them very much. It was a vivid story of young men in northern rural Minnesota trying to make some cash on fish caught under less-than-legal circumstances. I enjoyed Paulson's way of spinning the story. 

Short Story: The Dark Tower by C.S. Lewis

This was an incredible story. I wish Lewis had been able to finish it. It connected with That Hideous Strength but also, since I am currently teaching A Wrinkle in Time at my co-op, it was connecting with L'Engle's story, too. I love when unexpected story connections happen.
